Real estate company’s first SC project is Nexton apartment community

For its first project in South Carolina, The Collier Cos. has closed on the purchase of land in the Nexton community to build 360 new apartments.
The Collier Cos., headquartered in Gainesville, Fla., is an owner and manager of communities through Florida, Georgia, and now, South Carolina. According to a news release, the company has built over 12,000 apartments since its founding in 1972.
The new Nexton apartments will offer studio, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom options which will be available for lease in early 2027, the release said.
The apartments will be located near the Publix, Harris Teeter and The Pickle Bar in Nexton, according to the release.
The community will have a fitness center, pool, pet park and spa, bocce ball and pickle ball courts, yoga lawn, and grilling stations.
