Title
President

Lee Mashburn earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of South Carolina before joining Mashburn Construction, where he now serves as president. His first project — an 88,000-square-foot office building for Holmes Smith Development and Ikon Office Products — taught him essential lessons about managing relationships with subcontractors, municipal agencies, design teams and developers.

Under Mashburn’s leadership, the company has achieved significant growth over the past five years, surpassing 100 employees for the first time and entering 2026 with its largest project backlog in company history. The firm will celebrate 50 years in business in 2026.

Mashburn has led statewide office expansions and redevelopment initiatives across South Carolina, including opening Mashburn’s King Street office in Charleston, overseeing the East North Street office redevelopment in Greenville and relocating the Myrtle Beach office to the city’s Arts & Innovation District. He and his brother Paul are partnering on a multi-building historic redevelopment project in Columbia’s Vista district.

Mashburn serves on multiple boards, including Columbia Chamber of Commerce, City Center Partnership, Urban Land Institute South Carolina Executive Committee and Prisma Health Foundation Finance Committee.
