Paul Mashburn earned his degree in Construction Science and Management from Clemson University. He began his career as a laborer for a construction company, where he learned the value of hard work and the importance of education.

As CEO of Mashburn Construction, Mashburn leads a team of 107 employees. The company recently began work on the historic Whit-Ash furniture store in Vista, which will serve as corporate headquarters in 2026.

Mashburn was inducted into the Carolinas Associated General Contractors Hall of Fame in 2022. He currently serves on the boards of directors for Epworth Children’s Home and the Associated General Contractors of America. He previously served as president of Carolinas Associated General Contractors, chair of the Cultural Council, president of Columbia Rotary Club and chair of the Kidney Foundation.

Mashburn said he defines success as “doing something you love that makes you happy and that gives you an opportunity to support your family and mentor and grow other people.”

In his free time, Mashburn plays in a classic rock band.
