South Carolina 500 |

Chip Shealy

Organization
CBRE Inc.
Title
first vice president

Chip Shealy’s path to commercial real estate leadership began far from the boardroom. Born in Charleston and raised in Winston-Salem, N.C., Shealy earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Appalachian State University while working as a fly fishing guide. After graduation, he spent two years in Jackson Hole before returning to Charleston, where he worked on a tug boat for four years and as a yacht broker for five years.

Since transitioning to commercial real estate, Shealy has become a recognized industry leader. He holds the SIOR designation and recently guided his team through the $48.05 million sale of the Remount Road Flex Office Park. His leadership extends beyond transactions — Shealy has served as past president of both the South Carolina Commercial MLS and the Commercial Investment Division, and he continues his service on the Charleston County Board of Assessment Appeals since 2014.

Recognized as one of Charleston’s 50 Most Influential in 2024 and named Costar Top Office Leasing Broker of the Year, Shealy attributes his success to a simple principle: “Relationships are everything.”
