Starlight Homes taps executive to lead SC operations

Starlight Homes, a subsidiary of , the nation’s largest private homebuilder, has appointed Michele Scott as division manager for its Charleston and Myrtle Beach operations.

Scott brings more than 25 years of expertise to lead Starlight Homes’ mission of making homeownership attainable for first-time buyers across Coastal Carolina, according to a news release

“Michele’s extensive background in both construction and sales leadership makes her an ideal fit to guide Starlight Homes’ growth in Charleston and Myrtle Beach,” said Ryan Lewis, chief operating officer of Ashton Woods, in the release. “Her proven track record of understanding what buyers need, combined with her deep market knowledge of the Carolinas, positions her perfectly to help navigate one of life’s most important milestones in our Coastal Carolina markets.”

Scott joins Starlight Homes after serving as vice president of sales and marketing for Empire Communities (formerly Shea Homes) in Charlotte. Her career spans the full spectrum of homebuilding, beginning on the construction side before transitioning to more than 20 years in sales leadership, the release stated.

“The opportunity to lead Starlight Homes in two of South Carolina’s most dynamic markets is incredibly exciting,” said Scott in the release. “Charleston and Myrtle Beach are both growing communities where young professionals and families are looking to establish roots instead of renting. Starlight Homes’ ability to deliver affordable homes with quality construction aligns perfectly with what buyers are looking for in today’s market.”

Starlight Homes operates six communities with move-in ready new homes across Charleston and Myrtle Beach.
