ANNOUNCING: 2025 Best Places to Work in South Carolina winners

SC Biz News, in partnership with Best Companies Group, has revealed the 2025 Best Places to Work in South Carolina honorees, marking the 20th anniversary for the recognition event.

Best Places to Work in South Carolina identifies, recognizes and honors the best places of employment in South Carolina in three categories: small employer (15-99 employees), medium employer (100-249) and large employer (250 or more). To be considered, companies must be a publicly or privately held business; be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity; have a facility in the state of South Carolina; have at least 15 full- or part-time employees working in South Carolina; and be in business a minimum of one year.

“The 2025 Best Places to Work in South Carolina know that the people in their organizations are the key to their success. These businesses realize what it takes to create an environment that results in teamwork and excellence,” said Jason Thomas, executive editor of SC Biz News. “SC Biz News is pleased to join with the Best Companies Group in honoring these incredible businesses.”

There were two parts used to determine the rankings. The first consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices and demographics, worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience, which consisted of 75% of the total. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.

Winners will be celebrated during a recognition event Aug. 25 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
