Kadia USA, a global player in precision machining technology, is moving its U.S. headquarters from Michigan to Piedmont, just outside of Greenville.
Kadia specializes in honing and mechanical deburring technologies, developing machines, tools, and abrasives for high-precision processing of small to medium-sized bore diameters, according to the company website. Their services include job honing and tailor-made solutions for complex workpiece contours.
World headquarters are in Stuttgart, Germany.
“After a two-year site selection and planning process, Kadia has assembled a top-tier project team for the new facility,” according to a news release from Greenville Area Development Corp. Greenville-based Sexton Design and Development has been selected as the design builder, partnering with architecture firm Jahn of Chicago to bring this project to life, the release stated.
The project officially kicked off in April, with vertical construction expected to begin in July. The new headquarters is slated for completion in the first half of 2026, the release said.
“We are excited to welcome Kadia USA to South Carolina and to play a leading role in building their next chapter here,” said Jeremiah Sexton, CEO of Sexton Design and Development, said in the release. “Their presence is a win for the Upstate and a reflection of the region’s growing reputation for innovation and precision manufacturing.”
The facility will serve as the hub for Kadia’s U.S. operations, positioning the company for continued success in the American market while bringing new economic opportunity and jobs to the Piedmont area, the release stated.
“Kadia USA is thrilled to announce the relocation of its headquarters to Piedmont, South Carolina, a strategic decision that has been under careful consideration for the past two years,” Kai Boettcher, vice president of Kadia USA, said in the release. “This move enables us to position ourselves closer to our customers, shorten response times and further strengthen our relationships within the American market.”
Based in Greenville, Sexton Design and Development is a general contracting and design firm with more than 50 years of combined experience. Their clientele spans various industries including hospitality, institutional, industrial and re-development.
