West Coast apparel brand opens first SC location in downtown Charleston

West Coast clothing and home decor brand Jenni Kayne has added another East Coast location to its portfolio, opening its first South Carolina location in Charleston. 

Originally from California, the brand’s 2,340-square-foot King Street location will open with a full range of Jenni Kayne products such as apparel, accessories, home decor and skin care, according to a news release. 

“We are so excited to make our debut in Charleston with our first store in South Carolina,” Kate Watters, president of Jenni Kayne, said in the release. “The South is a growing market for us, and we’re thrilled to cultivate our Jenni Kayne community in such a historic and beautiful city.”  

The brick-and-mortar is designed to follow a “coastal aesthetic,” according to the release. The space encompasses minimalists designs such as brick and wood with neutral colors.

The new store will be at 364 King St. in suite B. The brand also has locations throughout New England as well as Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.  

Jenni Kayne will host an opening event with food from 167 Oyster Bar and drinks from CHANDON Reserve Blanc de Blancs and Lalo Tequila on its opening day, April 12 from 2 to 6 p.m.
