The BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by TD Synnex reached for the A-List for its 26th tournament, pulling a comedy and movie legend onto the Upstate links for the fundraising event.
Emmy and Golden Glove winner Bill Murray will head the celebrity lineup of the tournament, held in June at the Country Club of Spartanburg and Thornblade Club.
Now in its 26th year, the tournament brings together professional golfers, celebrities and the Upstate community for a week of championship play, live entertainment and charitable impact benefiting nine featured charities.
The 2026 tournament is expected to draw approximately 45,000 spectators. A 2024 study estimated an economic impact of more than $8.5 million for the region, according to South Carolina Charities Inc.
Max Metcalf, BMW’s manager of government and community relations, announced the celebrity lineup during an event at BMW Manufacturing’s Performance Driving Center on April 24.
“Not only is Bill participating in the tournament but his band, Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers, will be the Saturday night special guest in a concert at 3’s Golf and Grubhouse,” Metcalf said. “We are so excited for that unforgettable performance.”
