Kardea Brown’s CHS restaurant wins airport dining award

Kardea Brown’s Southern Kitchen at Charleston International Airport has been recognized with the 2026 Airport Food & Beverage + Hospitality Award in the category of Airport Food & Beverage Offer Best Representing Sense of Place in North America.

The FAB + Hospitality Awards are recognized globally as the premier awards program honoring excellence in airport food, beverage and hospitality. The annual awards celebrate airports, concessionaires, brands and operators that elevate the traveler’s experience through exceptional dining, innovation, customer service and a strong connection to the communities they serve.

Kardea Brown’s Southern Kitchen was selected for creating an authentic Lowcountry dining experience that reflects the rich culinary traditions and hospitality of the Charleston region, according to a news release.

The award underscores Charleston International Airport’s ongoing efforts to provide travelers with locally inspired dining, shopping and customer experiences that reflect the unique character of the Lowcountry, the release said.
