GE Vernova Park to host USA vs Türkiye watch party

Upstate soccer fans who want to get in on the Word Cup vibe can watch the next U.S. match at the state’s newest professional soccer stadium.

GE Vernova Park will host a free watch party this week for the USA vs Türkiye match. The stadium at BridgeWay Station in Mauldin will open the gates at 9 p.m. for the 10 p,m, kickoff. Admission is free

Fans will watch the match live on the stadium’s jumbotron while enjoying the atmosphere of a real soccer venue at the home of the Greenville Triumph and Greenville Liberty. Guests are welcome to relax on the pitch with blankets and lawn chairs or take in the match from the grandstands, according to a news release.

While admission is free, GE Vernova Park encourages all attendees to RSVP in advance. Event registrations help organizers accurately plan staffing levels, concession inventory, vendor support, and the overall guest experience to ensure the evening runs smoothly, the release stated.

“We want this to be a special night for our community,” said Trey Kolak, acting general manager of GE Vernova Park. “By RSVPing, fans help us prepare the best possible experience while allowing our vendors and staff to be ready for the crowds expected on Thursday night.”

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs, enjoy concessions from on-site vendors. Outside food and beverages will not be permitted inside GE Vernova Park. Concessions and refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the evening.
