GLA launches 12-week BUILD Your Future program for adults
Focus on business foundations, marketing, and financial literacy
Students earn a U.S. Entrepreneurship Certificate and business plan
Program runs Tuesdays and Thursdays, cost $99, starts Feb. 9

Greenville Literary Association is launching a 12-week pilot entrepreneurship program for adults looking to start or strengthen their businesses.

BUILD Your Future, which stands for business concepts, understanding ownership, integrate financial skills, launch with marketing, and deliver and demonstrate, will begin Feb. 9, with applications closing today, Feb. 6, according to a news release.

The program is part of GLA’s Career Pathways initiative and will offer instruction and real-world application through skills such as business foundations, marketing essentials and financial literacy.

The program will be led by Nicke Haney, GLA program director, and Liz Meeker, college and career navigator. GLA said both leaders are certified through the Coalition on Adult Basic Education.

GLA said students will complete the course with a U.S. Entrepreneurship Certificate and business plan. The program costs $99 and will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
