Greenville Chamber names Alex Fagan LaunchGVL director

Greenville Chamber names Alex Fagan LaunchGVL director

The Greenville Chamber has named a new director of LaunchGVL.

In his new role Alex Fagan will lead the initiative, a partnership between the Greenville Chamber and to connect high school students with paid internships. Fagan will work closely with employers, educators and community partners to expand opportunities for students to gain valuable workplace experience and develop the skills needed for future career success, according to a news release.

“We are excited to welcome Alex to the Greenville Chamber team,” Greenville Chamber President and CEO said in the news release. “Alex’s leadership will help strengthen a program that is essential to our region’s continued growth and long-term success.”

Prior to joining the Chamber, Fagan served as the program coordinator for curriculum at Furman University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. He was also a teacher at Greenville High School for more than a decade, where he was named Outstanding Teacher of the Year in 2022.
