McFarland Johnson Inc. is moving to an expanded office on Academy Street.
The employee-owned planning, engineering, technology, environmental and construction administration services firm says the move broadens its ability to serve clients with transportation and aviation solutions in the Carolinas.
The staff moves from 330 E. Coffee St. to Suite 390 at 10 S. Academy St. in Greenville.
McFarland Johnson opened its first office in the region more than six years ago, delivering aviation planning and engineering design services across various sectors, according to a news release. The firm provides on-call airport consulting services to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport and Asheville Regional Airport.
“Opening this new office in Greenville demonstrates our commitment to advancing aviation growth in the Upstate region,” John Mefera, vice president and director of aviation at McFarland Johnson, said in the release. “It enables us to better serve airports and aviation partners across the Carolinas, supporting the evolving needs and future expansion of the region’s air transportation infrastructure.” Mafera said.
Serving as a hub for the firm’s range of services — including planning, engineering, program and grant management, and construction services for airports, highways, bridges, facilities, and buildings — the new office positions McFarland Johnson to better support clients and contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the Carolinas.
“We are bringing our full suite of multidisciplinary expertise closer to our clients in Upstate South Carolina and western North Carolina with this strategic expansion in Greenville,” said Chad Nixon, McFarland Johnson’s president and chairman, said in the release. “We are significantly expanding our focus on transportation — across highways, bridges, and multimodal infrastructure — while continuing to advance aviation solutions. This broader commitment empowers us to deliver innovative, integrated transportation services and better support communities in eastern Tennessee and throughout the Carolinas.”
The firm is based in Bringhampton, N.Y.
