Fluor Corp. has appointed a home-grown human resources expert as general manager of its Greenville office.
Hannah Carmical will assume the post on July 1.
Carmical, a College of Charleston graduate originally from Pickens, has been with Fluor for 18 years and has deep roots in the Greenville community, according to a news release. Since beginning her career in Greenville in 2008, she has supported a wide range of global businesses including Power, Mission Solutions, Corporate HSE, Infrastructure and Advanced Technologies & Life Sciences. She has taken on roles of increasing responsibility in both field and home office environments and currently serves as the Global Human Resources Business Partner for Fluor’s ATLS business.
In her new position, Carmical will continue to support ATLS operations along with the diverse business lines based out of the Greenville office.
“As an Upstate native, Fluor and the community have played a foundational role in my own commitment to serve,” Carmical said. “Although I spent many years supporting projects outside Greenville, this has always been home. I’m truly excited to begin this next chapter of my career here and with Fluor.”
Carmical replaces Félix Alvarado, who has been named general manager of Fluor’s San Juan, Puerto Rico, office.
Fluor’s nearly 23,500 employees provide professional and technical solutions that deliver projects to clients around the world. Fluor had revenue of $15.5 billion in 2025 and is ranked 292 among the Fortune 500 companies. With headquarters in Irving, Texas, Fluor has provided engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance services for more than a century.
