The Greenville Triumph SC has a cool new corporate partner.
Airsys, a Woodruff-headquartered global player in mission-critical cooling and infrastructure solutions, will serve as the soccer club’s corporate partner through the 2029 season.
The company said in a news release that it was driven by a shared commitment to regional innovation to enter the partnership officially on July 29, with Airsys as the presenting partner of the inaugural Made in the Upstate match, celebrating the people, companies and industries shaping the fast-growing region.
The partnership will include community initiatives, youth programming and fan experiences designed to strengthen connections across the Upstate, according to a news release. Beyond matchdays at GE Vernova Park, Airsys and Greenville Triumph will collaborate on events at BridgeWay Station and charitable initiatives that celebrate local pride, support area families and create lasting impact throughout the region.
“At Airsys, we believe strong communities are built when organizations invest in the places and people around them,” Yunshui Chen, founder and CEO of Airsys, said in the news release. “The Upstate has become a center for innovation, manufacturing and opportunity, and we are proud to call it home. This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting the community while helping create a future that is connected, forward-looking, and full of opportunity for the next generation.”
The partnership comes as professional soccer continues to grow across South Carolina while the World Cup has generated new enthusiasm for the sport across the nation and region.
“We are proud to welcome Airsys to the Triumph family,” Zach Prince, general manager and sporting director of Greenville Triumph SC, said in the release. “Both organizations are committed to building for the future. Airsys is a powerhouse for regional innovation and has made a significant investment right here in the Upstate. Together, we look forward to creating experiences that bring people together, celebrate the workforce and innovation that define the Upstate, inspire the next generation, and continue building momentum for our community.”
Founded in 2018 as a founding member of USL League One, Greenville Triumph has established itself as one of the league’s premier organizations, winning the 2020 USL League One Championship and building one of the most passionate fan bases in the Southeast. The club continues to gain national and international recognition, including strategic investment from global soccer icon Ronaldinho.
With more than 117,000 people employed in manufacturing across the Upstate, Made in the Upstate celebrates the people whose ingenuity, craftsmanship and innovation have helped define the region’s manufacturing legacy. Hosted at GE Vernova Park in BridgeWay Station, the event will shine a spotlight on the engineers, manufacturers, skilled tradespeople, educators, entrepreneurs and community leaders whose daily contributions drive the community forward. As Presenting Partner, Airsys will be featured across matchday activations, community programming, digital content and fan experiences leading up to and throughout the event, celebrating the very spirit of innovation and collaboration that continues to define the Upstate’s rapid growth.
Through Greenville Triumph, the Triumph Foundation, and future collaborative initiatives, the partnership will support efforts that expand access to soccer, encourage youth participation, and promote literacy and leadership development, the release said.
Earlier this year, Airsys opened its new global headquarters campus in the Upstate.
