After announcing the project in 2022, The Charleston Place in downtown Charleston announced the completion of the next phase in its $150 million renovation project.
The latest phase of the “reimagination” includes a new Club Level, a rooftop pool with garden bar, a redesigned arrival area and renovated guest rooms and suites.
“The Charleston Place has always been a meaningful gathering place for the city, and this next chapter is about honoring that legacy while introducing a more personal, intuitive guest experience,” Becky Hubbard, managing director of The Charleston Place, said in a news release. “From the moment guests arrive to the quiet rituals that define a Club Level stay, each new touchpoint has been thoughtfully designed to feel gracious, residential and deeply connected to Charleston.”

The rooftop pool and garden, Perch, is a saltwater swimming pool with indoor and outdoor dining reserved for hotel guests. The restaurant will offer food from morning to night with drinks in the evening.
With the addition of Perch, The Charleston Place will offer pool-focused packages for food and beverage options at the pool.
The Club Level will be on the seventh and eighth floors offering 72 guest rooms and a two-story Club Lounge. The lounge will include breakfast, family-style lunch, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails and desserts.
Before the evening begins at 4:30, the club will feature The Butlers Evening Pour with a signature cocktail or glass of wine and live music.
The guest rooms now include a walk-in shower or soaking tub, master-controlled lighting, large flat-screen TV, mini refrigerator and an executive-style writing desk. Once finished this year, there will be 419 guest rooms and 56 suites renovated.
The front entrance to The Charleston Place is reopened with a new design.
