Jaxon Lang earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.

Lang serves as president and CEO of AFL, previously holding the position of chief operating officer. In December 2024, AFL announced a $155 million expansion of its manufacturing operations in Spartanburg County. The expansion in Duncan will increase production capacity for fiber optic cable manufacturing and create more than 150 new jobs over the next two to five years, supporting domestic cable manufacturing, broadband deployment and power grid modernization.

AFL, founded in 1984 and headquartered in Spartanburg County, is a subsidiary of Fujikura, Ltd. of Japan. The company employs 11,000 people and serves customers in more than 130 countries across the energy, service provider, data center, artificial intelligence and industrial markets.

Lang serves on the board of directors for the Upstate South Carolina American Heart Association and was named to Greenville’s 50 Most Influential of 2024. He also holds a patent for telecommunications and network equipment design and has served with the Telecommunications Industry Association.
