John Oldham serves as chief operating officer at Multiplastics a division of Curd Enterprises Inc., a manufacturing company with 15 employees worldwide. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Oldham began his career at Northrop-Grumman, where he gained expertise in Total Quality Management. This foundation in quality systems has informed his approach throughout his manufacturing career.

He has contributed to the manufacturing and quality sectors through leadership roles in several professional organizations. Oldham previously served as vice chair and treasurer for CEJC, vice chair for ASQ, and vice chair and treasurer for SME. He also participated in the Lowcountry Manufacturing Council.

When asked about the manufacturing industry’s current landscape, Oldham identified tariffs and oil prices as significant concerns, along with competition from overseas producers in high-volume production markets.

Oldham noted that the best advice he ever received was “Don’t sweat the small stuff.” He defines success as maintaining a happy and healthy family and dogs.

Beyond his professional credentials, Oldham attended the same high school as NBA star Steph Curry, a detail that surprises many who learn about his background.
