Charleston natives to open French restaurant on Broad Street

Located in a historic circa 1806 building, Charleston natives are opening a new dining option in the French Quarter of downtown Charleston.

Mike and Kathleen Shuler, with their business partner Nathan Wheeler, will open their all-day restaurant at 40 Broad St. The team said Quarter French will offer morning coffee, lunches and dinner with cocktails, all with influence from .  

“We saw an opportunity to not only restore a piece of Charleston’s history but also to fill a culinary void that we, as neighbors, have been missing,” Mike Shuler said in the release. “We are excited to finally bring this vision to life.” 

The property has been restored and will offer indoor and outdoor seating year-round, according to the release. Quarter French will be open in Spring 2026.
