Colliers secures new Cayce HQ for national forensic engineering firm

Colliers South Carolina helped a national forensic engineering firm find new headquarters in Cayce at 440 Knox Abbot Drive.

Colliers South Carolina’s Tommy Johnson represented the landlord, Park Place 440 LLC, and Sydney Lanham represented the tenant, Engineering Design & Testing Corp., in leasing the 3,945-square-foot office space in Park Place.

The employee-owned company, with regional offices stretching coast to coast, was previously headquartered on State Street in Cayce.

Engineering Design & Testing Corp. is a forensic engineering and consulting firm, providing services across the United States. The company applies technical and scientific resources to determine the root causes of losses involving people, property and products of manufacture, according to its LinkedIn site.

With the new lease at Park Place, its corporate office will relocate to a modernized space, according to a news release from Colliers. Lanham also represented EDT in an additional tenant representation assignment to lease 2,305 square feet of flexible warehouse space.

The company has nine regional offices in addition to the Cayce headquarters.

“It was a pleasure working with EDT to deliver a headquarters space tailored to its needs,” Johnson said in the release. “The top-floor suite provides unmatched views of the Columbia skyline. Park Place is now 96% leased, with only 2,223 square feet remaining on the top floor.”

Johnson is a Vice President in Colliers South Carolina’s Columbia office, specializing in leasing and selling office properties across the central South Carolina region. Lanham focuses on office brokerage, representing both tenants and landlords, and is dedicated to assisting local small businesses throughout the Midlands.
