They’re not yet saying what happens next, but the purchasers of some of ‘s most historic acreage say their plans will honor the past.

And for 1,250 acres between Hampton Road and Welcome Road, the past is a legacy that includes one-time owner Col. Robert Anderson, a Revolutionary War officer and the county’s namesake.

Dunean Capital Management has officially closed on the Anderson Farm & Reservoir property, acquiring the tract and advancing plans for Anderson Lake, the company’s long-term vision for the site.

The land has been held by the Anderson family for generations, according to a news release, and despite receiving numerous offers, the Anderson family ultimately chose to entrust the future of the property to Dunean Capital Management, citing the firm’s local roots, long-term vision and commitment to responsible stewardship.

“This land has always been about more than acreage,” an Anderson family statement reads. “We were intentional in selecting a local partner who understands its history and will ensure that whatever comes next preserves and complements the character of the land. Dunean shared that commitment from the start.”

Led by CEO and President Chris Harrison, Dunean Capital Management says it has built a reputation across the Upstate for its patient, principled approach to projects grounded in community values.

While planning is still underway, Dunean Capital Management says it will approach the Anderson Lake project deliberately, with a long-term vision rooted in community stewardship and complementing the character of the land.

“This is an incredibly rare and meaningful property, and the Anderson family’s trust is something we take very seriously,” Albergotti said in the release. “This project is not about rushing toward an outcome. It’s about listening, planning responsibly and creating something that respects both the land and the people connected to it. Our responsibility is to be true stewards of this land, preserving its character, honoring its history, and ensuring that whatever comes next belongs to Anderson County.”

Additional details regarding future plans for the Anderson Lake property will be shared as planning and community engagement continue, according to the release.

Dunean Capital Management is a Greenville-based real estate investment firm specializing in strategic investments across growth markets in the Southeast. The company manages a portfolio of over 1 million square feet of commercial property.
