Peace Center 2025-26 Broadway season lineup features classics and newcomers

Peace Center 2025-26 Broadway season lineup features classics and newcomers

The upcoming 10-show at Greenville’s Peace Center features the return of Broadway’s longest-running musical, Les Misérables, and seven new touring shows, including Tony Award-winning Best Musical The Outsiders and the hit musical from Alicia Keys, Hell’s Kitchen.

The season is sponsored by Gibbs Cancer Center.

“Once again, the Peace Center brings Broadway to Broad Street,” President and CEO Megan Riegel said in a news release. “The social, cultural and economic enrichment it has brought our community has been astounding, and the titles we have lined up for next season are sure to carry on this mission-driven growth. From one of the most recognized and beloved Broadway productions in history –– ‘Les Mis’ –– to seven first-ever tours, every show this season is a must-see hit.”

The season schedule kicks off on Sept. 2.

MJ the Musical

Sept. 2-7

Following a sold-out Greenville premiere, the multiple Tony Award-winning musical MJ makes a victorious return to the Peace Center. MJ the Musical goes beyond Michael Jackson’s singular moves and signature sound, offering a glimpse at the making of the 1992 Dangerous World Tour. The show includes more than 25 of Jackson’s biggest hits.

Water for Elephants

Oct. 21-26

The New York Times bestselling novel comes to life in a unique, spectacle-filled new musical with a soaring original score.

The Sound of Music

Nov. 11-16

2025 marks the 60th anniversary of the Oscar-winning film, which continues to be one of the most successful movie musicals of all time. A critically acclaimed North American tour brings the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic to stages across the country.

Les Misérables

Jan. 13-18

Les Misérables is the world’s longest-running musical, with more than 180 major theater awards to its credit, including eight Tony Awards and five Drama Desk Awards. Les Mis is an epic and uplifting story about redemption and the survival of the human spirit. The show features a scenic design by Matt Kinley that incorporates Victor Hugo’s artwork with advanced projection technology, producing a cinematic look layered into the set.

The Outsiders

Jan. 27-Feb. 1, 2026

Winner of four 2024 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, The Outsiders has been described as “more pulse-pounding than anything else on Broadway” by Time Out New York. It is adapted from S.E. Hinton’s novel and Francis Ford Coppola’s iconic film.

Hell’s Kitchen

Feb. 10-15, 2026

This Tony Award-winning hit musical from 17-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys was inspired by her life, music and community. The show features a mix of Key’s classics and new songs she wrote exclusively for the show. The choreography is by Camille A. Brown.

Suffs

Feb. 24-March 1, 2026

This acclaimed 2024 Tony Award-winning musical is about the brilliant, passionate and funny American women who fought tirelessly for the right to vote. It was created by Shaina Taub, the first woman to ever independently win Tony Awards for Best Book and Best Score in the same season.

 The Great Gatsby

March 31-April 5, 2026

Hailed by Entertainment Weekly as “a Broadway extravaganza that explodes with life and energy,”  this show based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic American novel set in the Roaring ‘20s, is the story of extravagance and longing.

The Notebook

June 9-14, 2026

Music and lyrics by multi-platinum singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson and a book by TV’s Bekah Brunstetter, this show is based on the best-selling novel that inspired the iconic film. USA Today called it “Romantic, life-affirming and ingeniously adapted.”

Spamalot

July 28-Aug. 2, 2026

The first ever revival of the Tony Award-winning show, the musical comedy is lovingly ripped off from the film classic “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.”

Ten-show season subscriptions are available with interest-free payment plans starting at $59 per month and are available to both renewing and new subscribers. New season subscription orders are processed in the order they are received, according to a news release.

“We have packed more value into next season’s Broadway subscription than ever before,” Peace Center Vice President of Marketing Heather Chamberlain said in the release. “Access to the best seats at the best price delivers the best of New York theater right to your back door.”

Packages may be purchased online at peacecenter.org, by calling the Box Office at 864-467-3000, or by visiting the box office in the Peace Concert Hall lobby. Box Office hours are 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Established in 1990, the six-acre Peace Center campus consists of the 2,115-seat Peace Concert Hall, 400-seat Gunter Theatre, an outdoor amphitheater, and popular event spaces including the iconic Wyche building and the Huguenot Mill.
