Kelly Walker leads the Upstate Fatherhood Coalition as executive director, overseeing an organization of 19 employees dedicated to strengthening father engagement and supporting family relationships throughout the region.

Walker holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Mars Hill University and an MBA from Limestone College, credentials that inform his approach to nonprofit leadership.

His first job as a janitor at a middle school taught him the value of hard work, planning and teamwork — foundational lessons that continue to shape his leadership approach today.

Walker has served on the Board of Regents for Leadership Greenville and held positions with Human Relations, Within Reach and the Better Business committee. He has been recognized as one of the top 50 leaders in the Upstate and received honors including Practitioner of the Year, Community Leader and Diversity Leadership.

“Building relationships is more important than building money,” Walker said, reflecting his philosophy on nonprofit work. He identifies funding and philanthropy as the sector’s biggest challenges while defining success on individual rather than external terms.
