Scott Millwood is best described as a technology entrepreneur. Millwood got his start in the business world as an account executive and account manager in the early 1990s, and in 1995, he became the senior vice president of Datastream Systems, where he built the company’s first direct sales team selling to enterprise account. With his help, the company was able to complete a successful IPO and secondary offering and acquired five companies globally.

In 2003, he stepped into a new venture as the founder and CEO of Customer Effective, a bootstrap startup focused on Microsoft Customer Relationship Management. He worked in that role until 2014, before exiting to Hitachi Solutions, where he was the executive vice president of global CRM. After transitioning to another founder and CEO position at Yesflow for four years, Millwood became the co-founder and partner of Deal Strategies and Founderville Fund, founding a $6.4 million fund to help successful Greenville founders and CXOs to invest in and support the next wave of Greenville founders. The company also provides fractional CXO consulting with other non-portfolio companies in the tech space.
