CBRE has been retained to market and lease North Rhett Center at 5801 N. Rhett Ave. in Hanahan, a 516,000-square-foot, two-building industrial property.
The property, recently acquired by Obelisk Real Estate Partners, offers approximately 318,926 square feet of available space for lease.
CBRE’s Brendan Redeyoff and Bob Barrineau are leading leasing efforts on behalf of Obelisk Real Estate Partners, according to a news release.
Obelisk Real Estate Partners bought the property and the adjacent 305,250-square-foot industrial property at 1020 North Pointe Industrial Blvd. from CenterPoint Properties. The transaction expands Obelisk’s industrial presence in the Charleston market and adds two strategically located assets within one of the region’s most established logistics corridors, the news release said.
The available space at 5801 North Rhett can accommodate users ranging from approximately 50,000 square feet to the full 318,926 square feet. The property also offers CSX rail service and up to 3.25 acres of laydown yard space, providing flexibility for a range of manufacturing, logistics and distribution users. The asset is also proximate to the NIWC and Charleston International Airport.
“We are excited to extend our partnership with Obelisk as they continue to acquire industrial assets in Charleston,” CBRE Senior Vice President Brendan Redeyoff said in the release. “Opportunities of this scale are increasingly difficult to find in infill Charleston locations. The property’s proximity to the port, Naval presence and Boeing, along with its connectivity to the interstate system and regional labor pool positions it well for a wide range of industrial occupiers seeking efficient access to the Southeast market.”
Obelisk Real Estate Partners Managing Principal Dustin Potter said his company is glad to be expanding in the market.
“We are thrilled to grow our presence in Charleston and invest in the people and infrastructure that make it so dynamic,” he said in the release. “Obelisk looks forward to being a part of the market’s continued growth and success, and we are grateful to do it alongside great partners including CBRE.”
