Amanda Herlihy leads the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities Foundation, where she has driven significant fundraising success and organizational growth.

A native of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., Herlihy earned a Bachelor of Fine and Performing Arts and Arts Management from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Before joining the Governor’s School, she worked in fundraising for the Film Society of Lincoln Center, where she improved systems and increased revenue.

Herlihy began at the Governor’s School in 2018 as director of development. She served as interim executive director before being named executive director in June 2023. Within her first three months in the role, she secured a six-figure donation. Overall, she has raised more than $5 million and led development of a strategic plan.

Herlihy serves on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Piedmont Chapter, where she has held roles including vice president of membership and vice president of communications. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Greenville and serves as the Association Health Plan Trustee for Together SC.
