Big Red Barn Retreat in Columbia names interim leader

The Big Red Barn Retreat has a new leader.

The Big Red Barn Retreat has named Maj. Gen. Kate Voigts (retired) as its interim executive director, according to a news release. With over 40 years of experience and leadership in the Army, Voigts brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the organization, the release stated.

In addition to her role at BRBR, Kate also works part-time for the RAND Corp. as a senior policy analyst and as a senior mentor with the Army War College, according to the release. She is also an active volunteer, serving as a “red shirt” with Team Rubicon and as an ombudsman for the Department of Defense’s Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve office.
