Founders Institute application window opens

The Founders Institute, a Silicon Valley-based entrepreneur support network with more than 200 chapters across the country, has opened the application window for its Greenville-New York City Virtual 2021 program starting on March 24.

The four-month startup accelerator will led by entrepreneurs from New York, while investors and CEOs from the Upstate will offer feedback and evaluation as mentors to program participants, according to a news release.

Early bird applications offering a discount off the $999 course fee due March 14, while the final deadline is April 11. After the course ends, participants will still be able to access free support from the network’s alumni programs.

Since 2009, the Founder Institute has helped more than 4,500 alumni raise more than $950 million in funding, get into seed-accelerators, generate traction, recruit a team, build a product and launch a business idea, among other goals, according to the news release.

Classes will include:

  • Growth Essentials for Startups with Kieran Flanagan, senior vice president of Hubspot, at 1 p.m. March 24.
  • Online Startup Idea Fest: Build and Share Ideas with Potential Customers at 1 p.m. March 30.
  • Pitch your Startup Idea to Greenville-New York City Investors at 6 p.m. April 6.
