Huntington National Bank opens first Summerville branch

The Huntington National Bank is opening its first branch in Summerville, one part of plans for 55 new branches across North and South Carolina.

The branch will be located at 103 Station St. and serve as South Carolina’s fourth full-service Huntington location, according to a news release.

“The opening of our first branch in Summerville represents another milestone in Huntington’s continued expansion across the Carolinas,” Trent Holland, regional president for North Carolina and South Carolina, said in the release. “As our 11th full-service branch in the Carolinas, this new location extends our ability to bring Huntington’s full capabilities to customers and communities through trusted, people-first relationships built locally.”

The Summerville branch will have drive-thru teller lanes and a drive-up ATM. The bank also opened a full-service branch on King Street in Charleston in 2025 as well as other full-service branches in Greenville and Spartanburg.

Huntington, which is currently ranked as one of the top 10 commercial banks in the United States, has more than 1,400 branches across 21 states with $285 billion in assets, according to the release.
