A Midlands credit union has expanded into the Upstate.

Building on its storied 68-year history in York County, Family Trust Federal Credit Union has expanded into Greenville, its first location in the county, according to a news release. The credit union’s new branch — located at 1800 Laurens Road — is now open to the public.

During its week-long grand opening, the credit union partnered with Harvest Hope, South Carolina’s largest food bank, to collect donations and support those in need, the release stated. Family Trust is also working with local artists from Greenville Center for Creative arts to create a mural that reflects the vibrant culture of the city, further reinforcing the credit union’s dedication to community connection.

“For the last six decades, Family Trust has established itself as a leader within York County,” said Ryan Harvey, president and CEO of Family Trust, in the release. “After careful research, we identified Greenville as an ideal place to grow, mainly because we knew we could combine our values of care, trust and excellence and take that same members-first approach to Greenville County residents. This expansion is not just about another location — it’s an opportunity to serve a new community and to help our neighbors build secure futures.”

The new branch will bring Family Trust’s breadth of financial services to Greenville, providing additional opportunities for borrowing, spending and saving through mortgages, auto loans, high yield checking account – and more.
