The Holiday Inn Club Vacations Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort represents a significant addition to South Carolina’s Grand Strand, completing construction in January 2024 after an $86.2 million investment. Landmark Builders of South Carolina partnered with Holiday Inn Club Vacations and design teams for the first time on this project, delivering the 391,488-square-foot development ahead of schedule and under budget.

Standing seven stories tall on an 11-acre oceanfront property at 3090 Springmaid Boulevard, the resort features 152 guestrooms comprising 60 signature units and 92 standard units positioned above ground-level parking. Guests can select from spacious one- to four-bedroom villas, each incorporating modern finishes and private balconies offering ocean views.

The resort’s amenities include a multi-level pool complex with poolside bar, private cabanas, beachside activity lawn and fitness center. An innovative construction technique utilized structural Styrofoam to reduce weight in the elevated plaza pools, allowing the team to achieve desired contours before applying traditional reinforcing materials.

Architecturally, the main lobby distinguishes itself through curved, exposed steel members set with tower cranes and designed for future expansion. The development earned recognition from Myrtle Beach with an Arbor Day acknowledgment for Outstanding Dramatic Landscape Using Lighting & Building Placement.

Huitt-Zollars served as architect, with Accelerated Assets as developer and Design Poole handling interior design. Weatherly Structural Engineers and Development Resource Group provided engineering services. The project created construction jobs and ongoing operational positions while contributing to the local Myrtle Beach and Horry County economy through increased tourism.
