Furman University event explores future of cobots and automation

Automation will be the topic of an upcoming free workshop at Furman University.

The Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Furman University will host the next installment of Advantage Greenville with a focus on collaborative robots, or cobots.

Whether performing precision surgeries or handling heavy manufacturing tasks, these advanced machines work seamlessly with humans and are poised to play an even more significant role in our everyday lives, a news release stated.

Advantage Greenville will take place from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at Greenville ONE Center, 2 West Washington St., Suite 200.

The event will feature keynote presentations from two leading global robotics corporations blazing the trail in the world of automation, the release stated. This will be followed by a panel discussion with these global leaders, along with two of the most innovative South Carolina based cobot startups, and a distinguished moderator from the community.
