Colorado hotel brand announces first East Coast location in Charleston

Limelight Hotels has revealed that Charleston will be the first East Coast location for a new hotel and branded residential project.

Aspen One, the parent company of Limelight Hotels, will open the two locations in 2028 at 306 King St. and 86 Society St., according to a news release.

“Expanding the Limelight brand to Charleston is a milestone moment for us, and the Limelight brand brings a differentiated experience to this historic, ever-growing and dynamic community,” Jeff Toscano, CEO of Aspen Hospitality, said in the release. “The continued growth of Limelight Hotels in a thoughtful, intentional way brings authentic connections to the country’s most interesting and exciting destinations. Embarking on this development in such a great location within Charleston is a moment worth celebrating, especially as we continue to build a portfolio that pairs beautiful design with a sense of adventure.”

Limelight Charleston will include 50 rooms as well as a restaurant, bar, rooftop pool and meeting spaces. The properties will also have 16 private residences with a parking garage, according to the release.

Limelight has partnered with Category Company, a real estate development firm, for its seventh location in Charleston, the release said.
