Live Oak Charleston, a new hotel located downtown, announced plans to open in April of this year.

According to the news release, the hotel will have 120 rooms with three suites. Live Oak Charleston will be the first and only Tribute Portfolio hotel in the Lowcountry, located on Meeting Street.

“We wanted to create a hotel that blends everything people love about Charleston, great food and attentive hospitality, with modern touches like poolside retreats, wellness amenities, and globally inspired flavors,” Kris Betz, general manager at Live Oak Charleston, said in the release. “It’s a place that feels like the city you know, but with fresh experiences you can only find here.”

Hotel amenities will include a saltwater pool with five patio rooms as well as private terraces and a fitness center, the release said. Executive chef Eucepe Puntriano, previously at Marble & Fin, will lead Terra, the hotel’s signature Mediterranean-inspired restaurant.

Live Oak Charleston guests will also have access to Bloo Pool & Provisions, a poolside bar and lounge.
