Hampden Clothing leases Charleston distribution center

Hampden Clothing Co., an internationally recognized luxury fashion retailer in Charleston, has leased a 6,867-square-foot stand-alone flex building at 2039 Meeting Street Road for its new distribution and fulfillment center.

The property will accommodate Hampden’s distribution operations and supporting office space as the company relocates at the end of 2026, according to NAI Charleston, which represented the clothier in the deal.

Sarah Shelley of NAI Charleston represented Hampden Clothing in the transaction. Edward Robinson of Beach Commercial represented the landlord, IDA-Deborde LLC.

Founded by Stacy Smallwood in 2007, Hampden has been a fixture on Charleston’s King Street for nearly two decades and has grown from a local luxury boutique into an internationally recognized fashion destination, according to a news release. The new distribution center will support the company’s continued growth and expanding e-commerce and fulfillment operations.

“It’s always rewarding to help a friend and longtime client like Stacy,” Shelley said in the release. “This is the second time I’ve had the opportunity to represent Hampden in finding a distribution center, and the transaction came together seamlessly.”

Today, Hampden operates nearly 10,000 square feet of retail space at 312 and 314 King St., serving clients in Charleston and around the world through its King Street stores and e-commerce platform.
