Nexton adds 324 residential units to the neighborhood

Nexton, a master-planned community in Summerville, opened its most recent 324-unit residential complex, Hutchinson Apartments.

The apartment and townhome complex was developed by Charlotte-based Greenhouse in partnership with Middleburg Communities, according to a news release.

“Hutchinson is proud to join the Nexton community, offering residents a place to call home within one of the region’s most connected and fast-growing destinations,” Ian Wagoner, principal of Greenhouse, said in the release. “With modern apartments and townhomes, thoughtful amenities and convenient access to Nexton’s offerings, we’re pleased to provide a lifestyle that makes it easy to live, work and connect.”

The property will include one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Community amenities include a pool, residential lounge, fitness center, game room, walking trail and pet park.

Hutchinson Apartments is located on the northeast end of Nexton, at Pine Hollow Drive and Highway 176.

“As the 176 corridor continues to attract major employers and investment, access to housing near those job centers becomes increasingly important,” said Cassie Cataline, marketing director for Brookfield Residential which manages Nexton properties. “Hutchinson Apartments expands the range of housing options available in Nexton while supporting the workforce driving growth across Berkeley County and the greater Charleston region.”
