What are you most looking forward to in your new position? 

I’m most excited about the opportunity to blend strategy and storytelling to create impactful campaigns that make a difference. Working with an award-winning, talented team, partnering with clients who care about their communities and helping brands share their stories is a career dream come true. 

 

What is the biggest challenge facing your industry right now? 

The marketing and communications world is always evolving. From new platforms to shifting audience expectations and emerging technologies, staying adaptable is key. Right now, one of the biggest shifts is the rise of AI, which is transforming everything from content creation to data analysis. Learning to leverage AI without losing the human touch is a balancing act, but with change comes opportunity, and I love the challenge of finding creative, strategic ways to help brands stay ahead.

 

What was your first job, and what did you learn from it? 

My first job was working at Sno-Biz, a shaved ice company my mom owned. I learned so much from her, including management and service skills, which I’ve carried with me in all my roles.  

 

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever heard? 

One of my college alumni mentors, Tina Weaver, always used to say this quote by Maya Angelou: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” She prioritized building strong relationships, and it has been valuable advice for every aspect of my life. I have focused on building and maintaining connections with colleagues, clients, and community partners, which has continued to open doors, spark new opportunities, and make a lasting impact. I strive to lead with empathy, build connections, and leave people better than I found them.

 

What is something most people would be surprised to know about you? 

I grew up as a serious athlete and still love the rush of competition. In a professional setting, I’m more collaborative than cutthroat, but get me on the basketball court and I won’t show any mercy.
